John Opara

John Opara was born to the family of Rev and Mrs. John Opara. Originally from imo state but was born and bred in city of Ibadan in Oyo state Nigeria, no wonder why he is multi-lingual. He is the second youngest child in a large family of ten, a family known for having God as the center of their attention. In his own words John will say “my life and my upbringing are shaped in the fear of the Lord which I believe has made me the person that I am today”.

Because of his love for God and music he currently serves as a minister in Temple of grace faith center, here in northern California also as music coordinator.

John is studying Business admin/Accounting at San Jose State University in Northern California and he was the 2009/10 President of Nigerian student association an organization he has serve diligently, they experienced a large increase during his tenure.

John is excited to be a critical part of Unity1960, he is able to fulfill his desire of touching so many people’s life through his love for God and music, through his weekend show “Gospel Moods” people from across the globe are tuning in to listen to John interview guest while playing the latest and greatest gospel music from different part of the world.

John is a multi-talented musician that enjoys playing the drums, keyboard and also love to sing.
