Our purpose is to present a balanced coverage of events, promote the best interests of Nigeria and defend her UNITY. We do not owe allegiance to any political party, ethnic community, religious or other interest group. Unity1960′s primary commitment is to the integrity and sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and beyond that to the unity and sovereignty of Africa.
Our major challenge is to further the awareness campaign that as Nigerians and Africans as a whole we have our own radio station on the internet that we can listen to any time we turn on our computers at work, home, mobile phones and anywhere else. Our focus is to present distinctive, exceptional, exemplary, first-class, first-rate, outstanding, premium programs that will encourage good corporate governance, democratic ideals, ideas of dignity, hope, a sense of duty, acceptable standards of right and wrong, accountability, honor, the unity of Nigeria and faith in God our creator.
Our programs will promote democracy and freedom of speech while respecting minority and human rights. Our planners expect this message to serve as a breath of fresh air for our target audience. Live round table discussions are planned as well as comedy, sports and entertainment that all listeners, Muslims, Christians and other religions can enjoy.
We ultimately intend to capture the largest share of listenership of professionals worldwide and others in Diaspora and at home. In the near future we hope to commission an MW/AM transmission that can be heard all over the USA and UK as well as a satellite transmission on cable network.
Now we can say that people can listen to Nigerian music wherever and whenever; at home, whilst working and on the move via their mobile phones. Technology has made information available and accessible and that is what is needed for a better Nigeria, Africa and the World at large.
